There is no showroom. That is deliberate.
Showrooms exist to sell what is already in stock, under lighting chosen to flatter it. We bring slabs and samples to your house instead, and see them in the light your kitchen actually gets.

The studio is a working design office, not a display space. Visits are by appointment — and most clients never need to come, because everything comes to them.

Where does Obsidian work?
Across Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, Bal Harbour, Miami Beach, Brickell and Sunny Isles, Florida. Because the studio takes twelve commissions a year, the calendar is set by quarter rather than by waiting list.
We already hold approved contractor status in a number of Brickell and Bal Harbour buildings, which removes several weeks from the front of those projects.
Coral Gables
Mediterranean revival houses with kitchens added in the eighties and nineties. The work is usually about undoing a previous renovation rather than the original house.
Pinecrest & Coconut Grove
Large lots, generous ceilings, and the space to let a kitchen continue into a living volume. Our most architecturally ambitious work happens here.
Brickell & Miami Beach
High-rise commissions. Board applications, COIs, elevator windows and noise restrictions handled by the studio — we hold approved status in several towers already.
Key Biscayne & Bal Harbour
Salt air and full-height glazing. Every specification here is marine-grade, and the lighting is designed around water reflecting onto the ceiling.
Sunny Isles & beyond
We occasionally take work in Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach when the project suits the studio. Ask — the answer is sometimes yes.
